Just like clothing lines, there are lingerie companies to watch for the splendid collections they put out. One is US-based Seven ’til Midnight. It is a contemporary lingerie and costume company that is all about bold designs, immaculate craftsmanship and luscious, touch-me fabrics. The company has recently launched its 2014 Holiday Collection. The collection has drawn its inspiration from vintage styles mixed with contemporary, sassy attitude. It has three festive themes of Sparkle and Shine, Luxe Lace for Less and Sassy Santa’s. The collection which has fifty pieces comes in seductive and pretty pinks, reds and emeralds. The lingerie has trendy silhouettes in alluring lace, silky satin, dotted mesh, seamless pieces with flirty ruffling and pieces with rhinestone charms just to mention a few. The company’s catalog is also a calender and it is on glossy paper in spiral bound format.
Something new, something pretty has also been released by NOE Undergarments who have introduced their SS14 Collection. The line continues the Autumn/Winter 2013 trend of bringing inner wear to the forefront of women’s fashion. It’s all about new silhouettes and fresh color choices. Pieces include short leggings, open-back sports bras, pencil skirt slip skirts and bikini cut sports briefs among other designs.
First fashion week
Fashion weeks in the major capitals around the week are nothing new. It is something of a novelty in the world of intimate apparel though. Dubbed LingerieFW, the very first such event was held in February, 2013. The Spring/Summer 2014 show will be held at The Metropolitan Suite in New York from 1st to 3rd August,2013. The show will feature both emerging and celebrity lingerie brands and who will be on stage as runway or presentation items.
There will be a lot to enjoy at the show. This includes the showing of a collection from Rococo Dessous which will be the very first lingerie line made of no less than 24-karat gold thread. Other lingerie lines that will be on show include Secrets in Lace, Affinatas & Parfait, Uye Surana, NOE Undergarments and Lola Haze. Also strutting their stuff on the catwalk or giving presentations will be You!Lingerie who make nursing and maternity pieces, the innovative NaiS line and the decadent Nevaeh Intimates collection. The show will kick off with a runway show by Bradelis, New York after which there will be a presentation and cocktail reception.
